With this upgrade, the following can now be done on the Translayte platform.

  • Customers can raise orders and make payments in up to 30 currencies as seen above.
  • Customers can change currencies to see the equivalent charges in the other currencies.

Note: Whenever the currency selected is outside our base currencies (i.e. GBP, AUD, CAD, USD, and EUR), the PayPal payment option will be automatically disabled, and we will charge an extra 2.5% added to the order total to account for Stripe conversion extra charges.

Key Notes

1. What does the change currency icon or button look like?

As seen below, it's like a yellow background encapsulating a dollar ($) sign with a rotating arrow. Please note that it might be changed soon. If it changes, we will update it in this article.

2. Where can I find where to change currency?

a) On quote

As seen below, primary currencies can be changed to the preferred currency while requesting a quote.

b) Via "Certification" modal on the homepage

this can be done by clicking on services tab via the homepage

then click on certified translations.

3. Charges

Whenever a new currency is selected outside the user's location, our system automatically creates a preferred currency option. Then, all emails sent to the user will be based on the newly selected preferred currency.
