Cipher Review Guide
Introduction: What is Cipher?
Cipher is Translayte’s AI-powered translation engine that generates instant pre-translations. It combines AI speed with expert human review steps to ensure accuracy, reduce turnaround times and deliver certified translations that meet client expectations.
How to use Cipher AI for Review Tasks
As a Reviewer, your task is to complete the Review of an order by generating and revising a pre-translated document to meet quality standards.
The Updated Reviewer Tasks
- Go to your Task Dashboard and open the Review Task assigned to you.
- Preview the source document and translated document under the deliverables tab
- Revise the pre-translated documents with Cipher
Step to Step Guide: How to Revise with Cipher
1.0 File Handling and Revisions
You can use the revision option when a Pre-translation exist, but Inaccurate output details are spotted.
- Open the pre-generated translation under the "Translated Files" section
Source file status: “Completed” means the Document is pre-translated and ready for Review.

- Compare carefully with the source document (Original Files):
a. Check the meaning accuracy of translated texts
b. Ensure terminology consistency
c. Correct any formatting issues (stamps, headers, tables, signatures)
- If corrections are required, click on the “Revise Translation" to make changes as prompts or instructions.

The Request Translation Modal would appear.
Type in the correct information as a prompt or instruction. You can save your corrections notes while you go and look at the document again by clicking on "Save Notes"

- Use the Scrollbar to manually toggle between pages in the case of multi-paged documents.

- Indicate the page number requiring corrections.

- Once satisfied with the Changes spotted from the Source file and Translated file, Click to "Submit Revision Request."

You will be notified on the info tab while the Revision is in Progress.

You are able to Proceed to to other Files in the task while the Revision is in Progress or done.

1.1 Re-Run Translation
As an Update, now you can re-run Translation where Prompts are not giving the appropriate results to layout and formatting issues.

1.2 Replace With Docx
Given that OCR is generated to fix issues, you are able to replace existing deliverable with Edited Docx Download.


2.0 Task Submission
Compare results and revise as much as you need to until you have the desired result in the Translated File section.
Once fully satisfied, Click to "Submit Task" and your Review Task is completed successfully.

To access your latest Submissions, click the option Drop-down to view the latest file.

Given there are no issues, your files if automatically submitted and shared for Client Review.
3.0 Handling Change Requests
If the client requests modifications:
- Open the Change Request in the Messages tab relating to the order.
- Re-open the document order and use the same steps for revise with cipher to input the correction prompts.
- Validate the output and resubmit.

Known Limitations
We are committed to continuously improving Cipher’s functionality and output quality with your feedback. At this stage, the following limitations have been identified:
- Inconsistent formatting for table-based files
- Occasional loss of contextual meaning in translated versions
- Need for multiple prompts to capture all intended changes
The diagonal lines across documents are currently not responsive to instructions

Note: Your Revision task does not affect your Overall Performance Score as we are still enhancing the tool with your trial feedbacks.
Success Checklist for Review Tasks
- The translation is generated and revised as needed
- Source meaning preserved
- Correct glossary/terminology used (legal/medical/industry-specific)
- Document Formatting matches the original, or is close enough
- Certificate generated with the correct template
- Delivered without errors, measured by Change Request and Complaint rates.
